About
I'm Matilde Donato, a dance and theatre photographer and videomaker. After art school in Ravenna and the cinematography course at the Accademia Nazionale del Cinema in Bologna, I now study at the Accademia Teatro alla Scala in Milan. I spend my time between stages, rehearsal studios and wings, looking for the gesture that tells everything else. I photograph performances, classes, masterclasses and the quiet work behind every scene.
